Squaw Valley home of the 1960 Winter Olympics!  Squaw Valley is the largest ski area at Tahoe since it is now combined with Alpine Meadows offering a total of 43 chairlifts,  a Funitel and large Tram.  

The Village at Squaw has many condos for sale and rent and is the hub of the activity in Squaw Valley.  Alpine Meadows does not have a village but does have lodge facilities at the base and enjoys views of Lake Tahoe from the only chairlift that reaches into the Tahoe Basin at Sherwood Forest. On the Lake Tahoe Basin side you can purchase homes and cabins with local access to the ski mountain instead of the long drive around to the base lodge.  Condominium sales are available at both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.
